PRESENTATION OF PRIZES AND AWARDS TO THE WINNERS OF HCF MATHEMATICS COMPETITION 2020
Hollam Care Foundation (HCF) Mathematics competition organized for the public secondary schools within Ondo metropolis was planned to promote academic excellence amongst students, reawaken their consciousness, and help in critical thinking and to promote the objectives of Hollam Care Foundation as an emerging humanitarian organization in Ondo State.
The competition began on 20th November, 2020 with eighteen schools (36 students in attendance) and the final was held on the 27th of November, 2020 at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo which saw 10 finalists from seven schools jostled to win medals.
The instruction and plan was that the 10 finalists were to be present at this year\’s Ekimogun day celebration on the 5th of December, 2020 at the same venue where winners will be known and prizes will be presented.
The presentations of prizes and awards took place with all the 10 finalists present at the occasion, volunteers and other members of the team including the facilitator; Mr. Adeniyi Vincent, teachers and some of the parents of the participants were in attendance. The Volunteers wore the newly acquired branded T-shirts while team members put on one of the existing but adorable T-shirts with face caps. We all got set to time with our projector as planned.
At the time winners of competition were to be announced, the presentation of the prizes and awards was conducted by the Paramount ruler and the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom; Oba Dr. Victor Adesimbo Ademefun Kiladejo CFR, Jilo 111 who called out the winners; first position, first runner up and the second runner up. The winners and the corresponding monetary gifts and other items given are as follows:
OSETADE TOLUWANI FAITH of ST LOUIS GIRL\’S SECONDARY SCHOOL ONDO: WINNER – #75,000, PLAQUE AND MEDAL
KOMOLAFE TAIWO of ST JOSEPH COLLEGE ONDO: 1ST RUNNER UP – #50,000, PLAQUE AND MEDAL.
AKINBOBOLA MERCY of ST MONICA\’S GIRL\’S SECONDARY SCHOOL ONDO: 2ND RUNNER UP- #25,000, PLAQUE AND MEDAL.
The Osemawe of Ondo kingdom, Oba Kiladejo appreciated Hollam Care Foundation for our support and contribution towards this year\’s Ekimogun Day and also prayed for more successes for the management of Hollam Care Foundation in the coming year.
After the prize giving, the winners were conducted for photo sessions and interview. They showed their sincere appreciation to the CEO of Hollam Care Foundation for the opportunity to participate and were also happy and grateful for the prizes given to them.
The Ondo people, teachers and parents to the winners were also overwhelmed seeing these coming from Hollam Care Foundation. They prayed for the development of the Organization.
The coordinator; Mr. Rasheed Akinbolaji also thanked God for the successful completion of the project and also appreciated the CEO of the Foundation and other team members of his team who had worked assiduously and cooperated with him to achieve this feat. He also congratulated the winners and also advised them to not relent in their academics. He was also interviewed at the end of the event.
Photographs were taken with all the winners and the team members including Mr Dorthune (Thatondoboy) who was part of the inauguration of the project. The occasion ended successfully as food and drinks were served to all the invited guests.
